AUGUST 25, 1941.
Regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners August 25, 1941. Meeting
was called to order by Mayor Morgenstern, the roll was called and Commissioners
Morgenstern, Branson, Form and Price and City Attorney Norris responded. Commis-
sioner Breon absent.
The minutes of the Regular Meeting of August 18, 1941 were read and approved
as read.
On motion of Commissioner Branson, Mr. Enoch Harris of The Salina Transit
Company was granted permission to extend Sunset bus service from Iron Avenue south on
Fourth Street to Mulberry, thence east past Washington High School over Mulberry
Street Bridge and through Oakdale Park and back on Oakdale Drive. Motion adopted.

Application for taxicab drivers license for the year 1941 was received as

Commissioner Branson moved that application be approved and license granted.
Motion adopted.
Application for Pool Hall License for the year 1941 received as follows:

Commissioner Branson moved that application be approved and license grant-
ed. Motion adopted.
Application for taxicab license for the last half of 1941 received as

Commissioner Branson moved that application be approved and license granted.
Motion adopted.
A petition was presented asking for the location of a street light on the
corner of Fifth Street and Antrim Street. Petition referred to the City Manager.
Dr. J. r". Gaume and Mr. J. J. Sullivan appeared before the Board of
Commissioners asking for a two-hour parking zone on both sides of Eighth Street
from a point 150 feet south of Ash Street to Iron Avenue. Commissioner Ferm moved
that the City Attorney prepare an ordinance providing for such change in the
traffic ordinance. Motion adopted.
On motion of Commissioner Price the Board of Commissioners adjourned to
meet in regular session Saturday, August 30, 1941 at 12 o'clock noon.
