AUGUST 4, 1941.
Regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners August 4, 1941. Meeting
was called to order by Mayor Morgenstern, the roll was called and Commissioners
Morgenstern, Branson, Breon, Ferm and Price and City Attorney Norris responded.
The minutes of the Regular Meeting of July 28, 1941 and Regular Meeting of
August 1, 1941 were read and approved as read.
A communication was received from W. L. Ganssle regarding the purchase of
segregated assets stock of The Homestead Building and Loan Association in the
amoun' of 5587.50 which is held by the Cemetery Fund in the name of Gypsum Hill
Cemetery Association of Salina, Kansas, for the sum of $411.25. Action on same
was deferred until the next regular meeting of August 11, 1941.
An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance providing for the
vacation of a certain portion of an alley in Jones Addition which runs north and
south between Fourth and Fifth Streets north of North Street." Referred to the
Noard of Commissioners.
City Manager Brown submitted to the Board of Commissioners the tentative
budget for the year 1942. On motion of Commissioner Price Friday, August 15,
1941 at 4:30 P. M. was fixed as the date for public hearin on said budget as
provided by law. Motion adopted.
On motion of Commissioner Price the Board of Commissioners adjourned.
