Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners June 30, 1941. Meeting
was called to order by Acting Payor Ferm the roll was called and Commissioners
Ferm, Branson, Breon and Price and City Attorney Norris responded. Commissioner

Morgenstern absent.
The minutes of the Regular meeting of June 23, 1941 and Special Meeting
of June 23, 1941 were read and approved as read.
City Engineer submitted Final Estimate of Cost for the construction of
Lateral Sanitary Sewers numbered `187., 187A,. 188 and 189 On motion of Commis-
sioner Branson estimates were approved by the Board of Commissioners. Motion
adopted.
An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled: "An ordinance
relating to and apportioning and levying special assessments on certain lots and
pieces of ground in the City of Salina, Kansas, to pay the cost of constructing
lateral sanitary sewers in Lateral Sanitary Sewer Districts numbered 187, 187-A,
188 and 189, and relating to and providing for the collection and payment of such
assessments." Ordinance referred to the Board of Commissioners.

City Engineer submitted Estimate Number 2 for the painting of the
1,000,000 Gallon Water Tank. Commissioner Breon moved that estimate be approved
by the Board of Commissioners. Motion adopted.
An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance making appropriation
for the payment of a certains."

On motion of Commissioner Branson the ordinance was read and adopted by
sections and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was
had; Ayes: Ferm, Branson, Breon and Price (4) Nays: (0) Commissioner Mor-
genstern absent. Acting Mayor, approved the ordinance arid it is numbered A-120.
A communication was received from -the Salina Central Labor Union regarding
the inspection of meat in the City of Salina. Same was ordered filed.

F. m. Traylor appeared before the Board of Commissioners for the Chamber
of Commerce Aviation Committee. City Manager was requested to arrange for confer-
ence with Federal authorities regarding improvements and use of Airport.
Johnson Bros. Construction Company asked for permission to erect a warehouse
for the Skelley Oil Company, on Broadway Boulevard between 'Whittredge Street and
the Union Pacific tracks. Commissioner Branson moved that permission be granted
by the Board of Commissioners. Motion adopted.
On motion of Commissioner Breon the Board of Commissioners adjourned.
