Meeting was called to order by Mayor Morgenstern, the roll was called and Commissioners Morgen- stern, Branson, Breon and Ferm and City Attorney Norris responded. Commissioner Price absent. The minutes of the Regular Meeting of June 9, 1941 and Regular Meeting of i June 14, 1941 were read and approved as read. j { Application for taxicab drivers license for the year 1941 received as fol- lows: Frank M. Noonen Commissioner Breon moved that application be approved and license granted. Motion adopted. An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance making appropriation for the payment of certain claims." On motion of Commissioner Branson the ordinance was read and adopted by sec- tions and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Morgenstern, Branson, Breon and Ferm (4) Nays: (0) Commissioner Price absent. Mayor approved the ordinance and it is numbered A-118. The appraisers reports for the paving of: Alley _lying between Santa Fe Avenue and Seventh Street from Ash Street to Iron Avenue; Alley lying between Santa Fe Avenue and Seventh Street from Walnut Street to Iron Avenue; and for the curbing and guttering of: Eighth Street from Woodland Avenue to Grand Avenue; Eighth Street from Harsh Street to Hamilton Street; Funston Street (west side) south of Republic Avenue, abutting Lot 10, Block 15, Highland Court Addition; Highland Circle (west side) south of Ellsworth Avenue, abutting Lot 1, Block 8, Highland Court Addition; Montrose Street from Charles Street to Crawford Avenue; Pershing Street (west side) south of Republic Avenue, abutting Lots 4 and 5, Block 11, Highland Court Addition; Republic Avenue from the east line of Sheridan Street (on the north side of Republic) and from the east line of Funston ( on the south sib of Republic) to the west line of Sherman Street (on the north side of Republic) tot he east line of I Pershing Street (on the south side of Republic); Republic Avenue _ (on the northside) from Tenth Street to Eleventh Street; Second Street from Ash Street to Elm Street; r M Second Street (west side) north of Iron Avenue, abutting Lots 104, 106 and 108, Original Townsite in the City of Salina, Kansas; Tenth Street from V61son Street, north 300 feet to connect with the existing curb and gutter; Venangb Street from Sherman Street to Custer Street; and Milson 6treet from Sherman Street to Eleventh Street, were received, and on mot ion of Commissioner Branson Monday, June 23, 1941 at 4:30 P. M. was desig- nated as a Special Meeting at which time the reports will be taken up and acted on ? by the Board of Commissioners, and that the City Clerk publish notice of such meeting Iin the official City paper as provided by law. Motion adopted. A petition was presented regarding the need of a Rest Room in the business district of the City of Salina for the rural shoppers and out of town guests. Ordered filed. Contract Bond and Statutory Bond of W. T. Davis Construction Company of Tahoe City, California, as required by the contract awarded to W. T. Davis Constructon Company, for the painting of Water Storage Standpipe on Mt. Barbara Hill adjacent to Gypsum Hill Cemetery and the 1,000,000 Gallon Elevated Water Storage Tank on Lots 29 to 33 inclusive, Block 10, Calkins Addition were presented. Commissioner Branson moved that the bonds be approved by the Board of Commissioners. Motion adopted. On motion of Commissioner Breon the Board of Commissioners adjourned. City Clerk
