05-15-1941 MinutesCOMMISSION:;RS PROCEEDINGS, REGULAR MEETING. COMMISSIONERS ROOM, SALINA, KANSAS MAY 15, 1941. Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners May 15, 1941. Meeting was called to order by Mayor Morgenstern, the roll was called and Commissioners Morgenstern, Branson and Price and City Attorney Norris responded. Commissioners Breon and Ferm absent. An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance making appropriation for the payment of certain claims." On motion of Commissioner Branson the ordinance was read and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had: Ayes: Morgenstern, Branson and Price (3) Nays: (0) Commissioners Breon and Ferm absent. Mayor approved the ordinance and it is numbered A-114. City Engineer submitted plans and specifications and estimate of cost for th he curbing and guttering of: Eighth Street from the center line of Harsh Street to the center line of Hamilton Street; Tenth Street from the center line of Wilson Street, north 300 feet to connect with the existing curb and gutter; Eighth Street from t he center line of Woodland Avenue to t he center line of Grand venue; Second Street (west side) lying north of Iron Avenue; Funston Street (portion of) between Republic Avenue and Sunset Drive; Highland Circle (portion of) between Ellsworth Avenue and Jewell Avenue; Pershing Avenue (portion of) between Republic Avenue and Beloit Avenue; For paving of alley lying between Santa Fe Avenue and Seventh Street from the north line of 77alnut Street to the north line of Iron Avenue. Commissioner Price moved that the above named plans and specifications and estimate of cost be approved by the Board of Commissioners and that the City Clerk v be instructed to advertise for bids tobe received up to and including Monday, May 19, 1941 at 4:30 P.
