COWISSIONERS PROCEEDINGS, REGULAR MEETING.
CONITI S S IONERS ROOM,
SALINA, KANSAS.
APRIL ?, 1941.
Commissioners Meeting re -convened for the purpose of organising.
Chas. E. Banker, City Clerk presiding. The re-elected Commissioners, Ed
14orgenstern, Earl C. Branson and Bert A. Breon having subscribed to the
oath of office and having filed the necessary bond approved by the Judge of
the District Court, the roll was called and the following responded. Morgen-
stern, Branson, Breon, Ferm and Price and City Attorney Norris.
Commissioner Branson nominated Ed Morgenstern for the office of
Chairman of the Board of Commissioners and Mayor for the ensuing year. There
being no further nominations, Commissioner Branson moved that the City Clerk
cast the unanimous vote of the Commissioners for Ed Morgenstern as Chairman
of the Board of Commissioners and Mayor, and on a vote being taken, said motion
was duly carried and Commissioner Ed Morgenstern was duly elected as Chairman
of the Board of Commissioners and Mayor for the ensuing year.
Commissioner Breon nominated Wim. H. }germ for the office of Vice -
Chairman of the Board of Commissiom rs and to serve as Acting Mayor during
the absence of the Mayor for the ensuing year, and there being no further
nominations, Commissioner Breon moved that the City Clerk cast the unanimous
vote of the Commissioners for Wm. H. Farm as Vice -Chairman of the Board of
Commissioners and as Acting Mayor during the absence of the Mayor, for the
ensuing year, u nd on a vote being taken iWm. H. Form was duly elected as Vice -
Chairman of the Board of Commissiom rs and to serve as Acting Mayor during
the absence of the Mayor for the ensuing year.
On motion of Commissioner Price the Board of Commissioners adjourned*
