P Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners April 7, 1941. I:seeting was
called to order by Mayor Lorgenstern, the roll was called and Commissioners I-orgen-
b stern, Branson, Breon, Ferm and Price and City Attorney Norris responded.

I The minutes of the Regular meeting of March 31, 1941 and Canvassing Board
Meeting of April 4, 1941 were read and approved as read.
An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance making appropriation
for the payment of certain claims."
On motion of Commissioner Ferm the ordinance was read and adopted by see -
tions and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote turas had;
Ayes: Morgenstern, Branson, Breon, Perm and Price (5) Nays: (0) Mayor approved

the ordinance and it is numbered A-109.
A resolution was introduced for second reading entitled: "A Resolution
relating to the paving of the alley lying between Santa Fe Avenue and Seventh
Street from the south line of_ro__avenue to the north line of Walnut Street."
On motion of Commissioner Ferm the resolution was adopted as read and on
its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Mor-
genstern, Branson, Breon, Ferm and Price (5) Nays: (0) I'layor approved the reso-
lution and it is numbered 805.

A resolution was introduced for second reading entitled: "A Resolution
relating to the curbing, guttering and grading of Eighth Street from the center
jline of Grand Avenue to the center line of Woodland Avenue*"
On motion of Commissioner Price the resolution was adopted as read and on
its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Morgen-
stern, Branson, Breon, Ferm and Price (5) Nays: (O1 Mayor approved the resolu-
tion and it is numbered 806.

its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Mor-
genstern, Branson, Breon, Fern and Price (5) Nays: (0' Mayor approved the resolu-
tion and it is numbered 807. ^

final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Morgenstern,
Branson, Breon, 4rm and Price (5) Nays: (0) M=ayor approved the resolution and

A resolution was introduced for second reading entitled: "A Resolution re-
lating to the curbing, guttering and grading of a portion of Pershing; Avenue between
Republic Avenue and Beloit Avenue."

On motion of Commissioner Ferm the resolution was adopted as read and on
its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Morgen-
stern, Branson, Breon, Perm and Price (5) JNays: (0) Mayor approved the resolu-
tion and it is numbered 809.

relating to the curbing, guttering and grading of a portion of Second Street
lying north of Iron Avenue."
On motion of Commissioner Breon the resolution was adopted as read and on
its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes:
Morgenstern, Branson, Breon, Ferm and Price (5) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the
resolution and it is numbered 810.

An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance
vacating a portion of a certain alley in Block 15, in Pacific Addition."
On motion of Commissioner Branson the ordinance was read and adopted by sec-
tions and on its final adoption the roil was called and the following vote was had;
Ayes: Morgenstern, Branson, Breon, Ferm and Price (5) Nays: (OJ Yayor approved
the ordinance and it is numbered 4995•
Gas Fitters Bond was presented from Stauffer Hardware Company. On motion of
Commissioner Farm same was approved by the Board of Commissioners. Motion adopt-
ed.
A petition was presented asking for the rezoning to Commercial Zone of Lots
1 and 2, Block 46, Military Addition. Petition referred toihe City Planning
Commission.
A petition was presented asking for the location of a street light at the
intersection of Minneapolis Avenue and Highland Avenue. Petition referred to the
City Engineer.
A petition was presented asking for the construction of a Lateral Sanitary
Sewer in the alley between Front and Second Streets from Forrest to Pacific
Avenues. Petition referred to the City Engineer.
Application was received from G. E. French of the DeLuxe Cab Company asking
for the transfer of Taxicab Number 14 from Studebaker Sedan, Model 19400 Serial
ho. G-37121, Motor No. 15256, to Nash Sedan, Model 1941, Serial Noe N-4-11066,
Motor No. K 11744. Commissioner Bfeon moved that application be approved by
the Board of Commissioners. Motion adopted*
Application was received from G. E• French of the DeLuxe Cab Company, asking
for the transfer of Taxicab No. 19, from Plymouth Sedan 1939, oerial No. 108528768
Motor Number P8-376171 to Dodge sedan, Model 1941, Serial No. 30432599, Motor No.
D 16-94535. Commissioner f,.Breon moved that application be approved by the
Board of Commissioners. Motion adopted.
On motion of Commissioner Branson the Board of Commissioners adjourned.
