Meeting was called to order by Mayor 1111orgenstern, the roll was called and Commissioners 11orgenstern, Branson, Breon and Ferm and City Attorney Norris responded. Commis- sioner Price absent. The minutes of the Regular Meeting of r>iarch 17, 1941 were read and approved as r ead. Application for taxicab drivers license for the year 1941 received as follows: '!:finery L. Bear Commissioner Ferm moved that application be approved by the Board of Commis- sioners and license granted. Motion adopted. Carl F. McCollum asked permission to operate a taxicab. Commissioner Breon moved that after application, with fee and insurance approved, and taxinab inspected by the City Building Inspector, he be permitted to operate and license to be granted next Monday, laarch 31st. Motion adopted. Mrs. L. M. Cooke, President of the League for Decent Literature for Selina, presented a Resolution in reference to the same. Commissioner Branson moved that the City cooperate with the organization represented by 1.1rs. Cooke in endeavoring to cooperate with news dealers to eliminate indecent literature from Salina, and that the !,rlayor be authorized to sign the reso- lution presented by Mrs. Cooke indicating the cooperation of the City in such program. Motion carried. Mrs. W. H. Tuttle asked permission to construct a steel building on Lot 148, South Santa Fe Avenue, subject to the apprgval of the Building Inspector. City Clerk was instructed to advertise for the sale of $18,045.52 Internal Improvement Bonds, dated January 1, 1941, bearing interest at the rate of 1-1/4% per annum, said bonds to be placed on sale at the office of the City Clerk, Salina, Kansas, March 31, 1941 at 4:30 P. 11. Motion adopted. On motion of Commissioner Ferm the Board of Commissioners adjourned. City Ulerk
