Meeting was called to order by Mayor Morgenstern, the roll was called and Commissioners Morgen- stern, Branson, Breen and Price and City Attorney Norris responded. Commissioner Farm absent. The minutes of the Regular Meeting of Furth 10, 1941 and Regular Meeting of March 15, 1941 were read and approved as read. Application was received from L. D. White asking for the transfer of Taxicab Number 29 from Chevrolet Sedan, Motor No. 3578066, Serial No. 5 KA06-39126, to 1941 Plymouth Sedan, Motor No. P12-291922, Serial No. 20126980. On motion of Commissioner Breon transfer was granted subject to inspection of taxicab by T. L. Bayne, Building Inspector. Motion adopted. G. E. French of the DeLuxe Cab Company, asked permission to operate a two -cab taxi stand instead of a one -cab taxi stand, on Santa Fe Avenue and Walnut Street. Permission granted. An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance making appropriation for the payment of certain claims." On motion of Commissioner Branson the ordinance was read and adopted by sec- tions and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Morgenstern, Branson, Breen and Price (4) Nays: (0) Commissioner Farm absent. Mayor approved the ordinance and it is numbered A-106. A resolution was introduced entitled: "A Resolution relating to the issu- ance of Temporary Note in the amount of $81000.00 (W.P.A. Project Number 8010-3S)." On motion of Commissioner Breon the resolution was adopted as read and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Morgenstern, Branson, Breen and Price (4) Nays: (0) Commissioner Perm absent. Mayor approved the resolution and it is numbered 802. The above resolution is recorded in full on Page 174 Resolution Book Number 3. An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance making appropriation for the payment of certain claims." On motion of Commissioner Branson the ordinance was read and adopted by sec- tions and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had: Ayes: Morgenstern, Branson, Breon and Price (4) Nays: (0) Commissioner Ferm absent. Piiayor approved the ordinance and it is numbered A-107. An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance pro- viding for and authorizing the issuance of Improvement Bonds of the City of Salina, Kansas, in the sum of $818,045.52 to pay the cost of improving certain streets and alleys in said City to be designated as Series P-126." On motion of Commissioner Price the ordinance was read and adopted by sec- tions and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Morgenstern, Branson, Breen and Price (4) Nays: (0) Commissioner Farm absent. !�,Iayor approved the ordinance and it is numbered 4994. A resolution was introduced for second reading entitled: "A Resolution re- lating to the curbing, guttering and grading of Ei"�hth Street from the north line of Harsh Street tot he south line of Hamilton Street. On motion of Commissioner Branson the resolution was adopted as read and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Mor- genstern, Branson, Breon and Price (4) Nays: (0) Commissioner Farm absent. A resolution was introduced for second reading entitled: "A Resolution relating to he curbing, guttering and grading of Tenth Street from the center line of Wilson Street north 300 feet to connect on existing curb and gutter."
