Regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners February 24, 1941. Meeting
was called to order by Mayor Morgenstern, the roll was called and Commissioners
Morgenstern, Branson, Ferm and Price and City Attorney Norris responded. Commis-
sioner Breon absent.
The minutes of the Regular Meeting of February 17, 1941 were read and ap-
proved as read.
Applications for taxicab drivers license for the year 1941 received as
follows:
David S. Porter John N. Gottberg
Fred Kessler Carl E. McCollum
Commissioner Branson moved that applications be approved and license
granted. Motion adopted.
J. 'ES Hull was given permission to transfer taxicabs numbered 2 and 5
from DeLuxe dab Company to City Cab Company.

Application for Pool Hall License for the first half of 1941 received

Commissioner Branson moved that application be approved and license
granted. Motion adopted.
A petition was presented asking for the rezoning of the west side of
Ninth Street from Lincoln Avenue to Decatur Avenue from Residential to Commer-
cial. Petition was referred to the City Planning and Zoning Commission.
Commissioner Ferm moved that the City Attorney be instructed to prepare
a Bill for pension for City employees and have the same introduced in House of
Representatives by Mrs. Cora Shelton, State Representative from saline County.
Motion adopted.
City Manager reported that the Waterworks Department had charged off un- I
collectible accounts for 1940 in the amount of $379.35. Commissioner Ferm
moved that the charge off of said accounts by the Waterworks Department be author-
ized and approved. Motion adopted. j
On motion of Commissioner Price the Board of Commissioners adjourned to
meet in Regular Session Saturday, 11a.rch 1, 1941 at 12 o'clock noon.
