FEBRUARY 10, 1941.
Regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners February 10, 1941. Meeting
was called to order by Mayor Morgenstern, the roll was called and Commissioners
Morgenstern, Branson, Ferm and Price and City Attorney Norris responded. Commission-
er Breon absent.
The minutes of the Regular Meeting of February 3, 1941 were read and approved
as read.
Applications for taxicab drivers license for the year 1941 received as fol-
lows:
Alvin M. Ahring
Richard Lyle Rose
Robert G. Rose
Donald L. Bennett
Commissioner Price moved that applications be approved and license granted.
Motion adopted.
A committee from the Junior Chamber of Commerce appeared before the Board
of Commissioners in regard to improvements to be made in the Agricultural Hall locat-
ed in Kenwood Park. No action taken.
A communication was received from Leslie Kreps Post 62 of the American Legion
of Salina, Kansas, advising the City officials that the Legion stands ready and will-
ing to assist the City in case of any emergency. Same was ordered filed.
Applications for Pool Hall License for the first half of 1941 received as
follows:

Commissioner Branson moved that applications be approved and license granted.
Motion adopted.
Commissioner Price moved that the paving cost for the vacation of the alley
lying between Eleventh and Twelfth from Morrison to Washington be cancelled. Motion
adopted.
City Engineer was authorized to offer the Western Star Milling Company not
to exceed $150.00 for strip of ground. Motion adopted.
On motion of Commissioner Price the Board of Commissioners adjourned to meet
in regular session Saturday, February 15, 1941 at 12 o'clock noon.
