Meeting was called to order by Mayor Morgenstern, the roll was called and Commissioners Morgenstern, Branson, Breon, Ferm and Price and City Attorney Norris responded. The minutes of the Regular Meeting of January 27, 1941 and Regular Meeting of February 1, 1941 were read and approved as read. Applications for taxicab drivers license for the year 1941 received as follows: Lester E. 'Ebert Donald L. P:Iead Kirk VanCleef James Forsythe L. E. Bogart John J. Brown Roy F. Willey A. E. Cooper Commissioner Breon moved that applications be approved and license granted. Motion adopted. Motion adopted. Trust Deed with a deposit of $100.00 was received from Henry H. "berhardt, Co -Executor of Henry Irving Maxwell Estate, for the perpetual care of Lot 81, Block 6, in the Gypsum Hill Cemetery of Salina, Kansas. Commissioner Ferm moved that Trust Deed be accepted by the Board of Commis- sioners and that the City Treasurer be instructed to place the deposit in the Gypsum Hill Cemetery Endowment Fund as provided for by Ordinance No. 3530 of the City of Salina, Kansas. Potion adopted. An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance relating to and apportioning and levying special assessments on certain lots and pieces of ground in the City of Salina to pay the cost of curbing and guttering Brown Street from the west line of Eleventh Street to the east line of Sherman Street; Frost Street from the west line of Eleventh Street to the east line of Sherman Street; Oakdale Avenue from the north line of Ash Street to the south line of Elm Street; Tenth 6treet from the center line of Pacific Street to center line of Harsh Street; Tenth Street from the south line of Franklin Street to a point 300 feet south of Franklin Street; and paving of alley lying between Santa Fe Avenue and Fifth Street, from the south line of Ash Street to the north line of Iron Avenue; and the paving of Broadway Boulevard from the west line of Ninth Street to a point 248 feet south of the south line of North Street, and relating to and providing for the col- lection and payment of such assessments."
