Special ?Meeting of the Board of Commissioners January 20, 1941. Meeting
was called to order by Mayor Morgenstern, the roll was called and Commissioners
11orgenstern, Branson, Breon, Farm and Price and City Attorney Norris reponded.
The meeting was held for the purpose of acting of the appraisers report for
the paving of the unpaved portion of Broadway Boulevard (By -Pass) from the west line
of Ninth Street at the intersection of Ninth and Pacific to a point 248 feet south of
the south line of North Street in the City of Salina, Kansas.
The appraisers report was taken up and read as follows:

We, John Frederick, L. til. Carl and E. D. Partin, being duly and severally
sworn according to law, each for himself, does hereby solemnly swear that he is dis-
interested in any of the property liable to special assessment for the cost of
paving the unpaved portion of Broadway Boulevard from the west line of Ninth
Street at the intersection of Ninth and Pacific'to a point 248 feet south of the
south line of North Street in the City of Salina, Kansas, as more particularly
described and provided for in Ordinance Number 4967 of the City of Salina, Kansas,
and that each of us will to the best of our judgment and ability make a true and
impartial appraisement of all the lots and pieces of ground abutting on such street
as above mentioned, without regard to the buildings or improvements thereon, for
the distance improved as set forth and designated by the Board of Commissioners in
the ordinance above mentioned. So help us God.

Commissioner Fern moved that the appraisers report for the paving of the unpaved
portion of Broadway Boulevard (By -Pass), from the west line of Ninth Street at the
intersection of Ninth and Pacific to a point 248 feet south of the south line of North
Street be adopted as amended. Motion adopted .
On motion of Commissioner Breon the Board of Commissioners adjourned.
