JANUARY 15, 1941.
Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners January 15, 1941. Meeting
was called to order by Mayor Morgenstern, the roll was called and Commissioners
Morgenstern, Breon and Form and City Attorney Norris responded. Commissioners
Branson and Price absent.
An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance making appropriation
for the payment of certain claims."
On motion of Commissioner Ferm the ordinance was read and adopted by sections
and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had;
Ayes: Morgenstern, Breon and Ferm (3) Nays: ( 0) Commissioners Branson and
Price absent. Mayor approved the ordinance and it is numbered A-99.
An ordinance was introduced on second reading entitled: "An ordinance
amending Section 1 of Ordinance Number 4693 as amended by Section 1 of Ordinance
Number 4972 relating to the licensing of certain music machines or devices."
On motion of Commissioner Breon the ordinance was read and adopted by sec-
tions and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had;
Ayers Morgenstern, Breon and Form (3) Nays: (0) Commissioners Branson and
Price absent. Mayor approved the ordinance and it is numbered 4989.
City Engineer submitted plans and specifications and estimate of cost for the
construction of Lateral Sanitary Sewer No. 187A located in the alley running north
and south between Fourth Street and Fifth Street from manhole in Forest Avenue to a
manhole 250 feet south of the south line of Forest Avenue; and Sanitary Sewer No.
189 located in the alley between Second Street and Third Street from Pacific
Avenue to Forest Avenue.
On motion of Commissioner Ferm plans and specifications and estimate of
cost for the above named sewers were adopted by the Board of Commission rs, and
the City Clerk was instructed to advertise for bids for such work to be received
up to and including Monday, Januar�i 20, 1941 at 4:30 P. M. Motion adopted.
On motion of Commissioner Breon the Board of Commissioners adjourned.
