Meeting was called to order by Dlayor Morgenstern, the roll was called and Commissioners Morgenstern, Breon, Ferm and Price responded. Commissioner Branson and City Attorney Norris absent. An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance making appropria- tion for the payment of certain claims." On motion of Commissioner Breon the ordinance was read and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Morgenstern, Breon, Ferm and Price (4) Nays: (0) Commis- sioner Branson absent. Mayor approved the ordinance and it is numbered A-92. Mayor Morgenstern appointed A. F. Pyle as a member of the Cemetery Board, to fill unexpired term of Carl S. Byers, who resigned April 1, 1940. Commissioner Breon moved that appointment be approved by the Board of Commis- sioners. Motion adopted. A communication was received from M. E. Ford, County Clerk, in reference to compromise settlement of $1.00 for back taxes against Lots 15, 17 and 19 in Block 29, Military Addition, which have been, and are being used exclusively for Church purposes. Commissioner Price moved that request be granted. Motion adopted. On motion of Commissioner Ferm the Board of Commissioners adjourned. City Clerk
