Regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners November 25, 1940, Meeting was called to order by Mayor Morgenstern, the roll was called and Commissioners Morgenstern, Branson, Breon, Ferm and Price and City Attorney Dorris responded. The minutes of the Regular Meeting of November 18, 1940 were read and approved as read. follows: Bids for centrifugal pump for the Salina Waterworks Department received as Darby Corporation, Kansas City, Kansas. Wyatt Mfg. Company, Salina, iLansas. Allis-Chalmers Company, Kansas City, Missouri. G. C. Kahl & Son, (Delaval) Kansas City, Missouri. Butters Pump & Equipment Company, Kansas City, Missouri. Worthington Pump & Machinery Company, Kansas City, Missouri. American Well " orks, Aurora, Illinois. On motion of Commissioner Branson all bids were referred to the City Engineer to report at the Regular Meetin of the Board of Commissioners to be held Monday, December 2, 1940. Appli3ation for taxicab drivers license for the year 1940 received as follows: Sam A. Schneider On motion of Commissi oner Breon application was approved and license granted. Motion adopted. An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance ameiding Sections 29-148C, 29-177A and 29-177C of Revised Ordinances of the City of alina 1939, being Sections 48C, 77A and 77C of Ordinance No. 4953, relating to and regulating traffic and relating to and limiting the time of parking of vehicles on certain portions of certain streets in the City of Salina, Kansas, and repealing said original sections." On motion of Commissioner Ferm the ordinance was read and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Branson, Ferm and Price (3) Nays: Morgenstern and Breon (2). Mayor approved the ordinance and it is numbered 4981 An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance amending Subsection (3) of Section 5-509 of the Revised Ordinances of the City of Salina, Kansas, 1939, being subsection (3) of Section 9 of Ordinance No. 4120, relat- ing to and requiring the venting of gas heating devices, and repealing said original subsection." On motion of Commissioner Price the ordinance was read and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Morgenstern, Branson, Breon, Ferm and Price (5) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the ordinance and it is numbered 4962. On motion of Commissioner FArm the Board of Commissioners adjourned to meet Saturday, November 30th, at 12 o'clock noon. City lerk
