Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners November 4, 1940. 1.1eeting was called to order by Mayor ;.Morgenstern, the roll was called and Commissioners Morgen- stern, Branson, Breon, Ferm and Price and City Attorney Norris responded. The minutes of the Regular Iileeting of October 28, 1940 and Regular Meeting of November 1, 1940 were read and approved as read. Report of City Planning Commission regarding the rezoning of Lots 1, 9 and 12, Leavenworth Addition, from Residential "A" to "C" Comriercial, presented to the Board of Commissioners October 28, 1940, was again taken up and discussed by the Board of Commissioners, and the matter was referred back tothe City Planning Commis- sion. A petition was presented asking for the installation of a street light on Bast Kirwin at Fourth or Fifth Streets. Referred tothe City I'lanager. G. E. French of the DeLuxe Cab Company, owner of Cab Number 13, asked permission to transfer such number from Plymouth Sedan, 1,,,odel 1939, Serial No. 10854708, Iaotor No. P8-378462 to Plymouth Sedan, :;Iodel 1941, Serial No. 22005431, ;Iodel No. P11-91244. Commissioner Price moved that permission be granted. Motion adopted. The following recommendations were received from the Waterworks Advisory Board: "A meeting of the laterworks Advisory Board was held in the Directors Room of the National Sank of America at 3:30 P.1.1. October 23, 1940 with the following members present: Roy F. Bailey, Chairman, Chas. 11. Shaver, Fred D. Kastner, Ray Gebhart, Leon Stevenson and 11. L. Brown, Secretary. The Board, on motion of 1;1r. Steverson, and seconded by iir. Kastner, unanimously recommended to the City Commission- ers the approval of the 255 discount allowed residence consumers for the six months period beginning with the April reading of the meters and ending with the October readings. Also that the discount be extended another month from October to the November reading of the mc;ters. On motion of ?.1r. Shaver and seconded by 1,1r. Gebhart the Board unanimously recommended the extension of the follow- ing water mains providing 'uI. I'. A. labor can be obtained: A 6" water main in Charles Street 12th to Phillips at an estimated cost of $400.00 A 6" water main in Wilson Street, 11th to Sherman at an estimated cost of 3600.00 A 4" water main in .aarietta Street, Chicago to the west side of Olive St; a 2" main in the parking on the east side of Olive St. from ?:Marietta north to connect with the Present 2" line running south from State Street at an estimated cost of $400.00 A 12" water main in Kirwin Avenue from Santa Fe Avenue west through the south part of highland Court to connect with the present 8" main at the and of Sunset Park at an estimated cost of 7500.00 A 12" main on Iron Avenue Santa Fe to Ninth at an estimated cost of 4500.00 On m, otion of l r.
