Meeting was called to order by Acting Mayor Perm, the roll was called and Commissioners Perm, Breon and Price and City Attorney Norris responded. Commissioners Morgenstern and Branson absent. The minutes of the Regular Meeting of October 21, 1940 were read and approved as read. City Planning Commission submitted the following report on the petition asking for the rezoning of Lots 1, 9 and 10, Block 12, Leavenworth Addition t oche i City of Salina, Kansas, from "A" Residence to "C" Commercial Zone: Salina, Kansas. October 28, 1940. Hon. Payor and Commissionors of Salina, Salina, Kansas, i j Gentlemen: I j The City Planning and Zoning Commission, meeting in executive session with all members present, at twelve o'clock, October 28, took up for consideration the petition submitted by Mr. Vern Ivhupin, requesting the rezoning of Lots 1, 9 and 10, Block 12, Leavenworth Addition, from Residential "A" to "C" Commercial zone. The Commission, after careful consideration of the petition, unanimously voted not to recommend the change in the zone as requested in the petition. The Commission in taking said action took into consideration the roadside park and the future development of this particular location as a beauty spot on one of the main traveled highways through the city.
