COMMISSIONERS PROCEEDINGS, RDGULP,R MERTING.
COMMISSIONERS ROOM,
SALINA, KANSAS.
OCTOBM 31, 1940.
Regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners October 21, 1940. Meeting
was called to order by Mayor Morgenstern, the roll was called and Commissioners
Morgenstern, Breon, Ferm and Price and City Attorney Norris responded. Commis-
sioner Branson absent.
The minutes of the Regular Meeting of October 14, 1940 were read and
approved as read.
A petition was presented from V. W. Maupin asking for the rezoning of
Lots 1, 9 and 10, Block 12, Leavenworth Addition to the City of Salina, Kansas
from "A" Residence Area to "V Commercial Zone. The matter was referred to
the City Planning Commission.
An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance making appropriation
for the payment of certain claims."
On motion of Commissioner Ferm the ordinance was read and adopted
by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote
was had; Ayes: Morgenstern, Breon, Ferm and Price (4) Nays: (0) Commissioner
Branson absent. Mayor approved the ordinance and it is numbered A-88.
Ed French, owner of Taxicab Number 6, Dodge Sedan Model 1938, Serial
Number 40013996, Motor Number D8-84842 asked permission to transfer such cab from
Yelloway Cab to DeLuxe Cab Company. Commissioner Breon moved that permission
be granted. Motion adopted.
Application was received from Ed French of the DeLuxe Cab Company, for
the Transfer of Taxicab License Number 6 from Dodge Sedan, Model 1938, Serial No.
40013996, Motor No. D8-84842 to Plymouth Sedan, 1941 Model, Serial No. 110061,
Motor Number P-12-52439. Commissioner Breon moved that application be approved by
the Board of Commissioners. Motion adopted.
On motion of Commissioner Ferm the Board of Commissioners adjourned.
