Regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners October 7, 1940. Meeting
was called to order by Aiayor hlorgenstern., the roll was called and Commissioners
Morgenstern, Breon, Ferm and Price and Acting City Attorney Jenkins responded.
Cormissioners Branson and City Attorney Norris absent.
The minutes of the Regular Meeting of September 30, 1940 were read and ap-
proved as read.
Applications for taxicab drivers license for the year 1940 received as
follovrs :
Richard H. Pickering
Clyde K. Smith
Henry F. Schultz
Commissioner Breon moved that applications be approved and license granted.
Motion adopted.
Sign Application No. 177 received from Rogers Outdoor Advertising, asking
permission to erect a sign on the West 25 feet of Lot 108, Original Town, N. W. corner
of Seventh and Iron, for the Richards Paint Company. On :motion of Commissioner
Breonapplication was approved by the Board of Commissioners. Motion adopted.
Application was received from G. E. French of the DeLuxe Cab Company, asking
permission to transfer Taxicab License No. 12, from Plymouth Sedan, Model 1939,
Serial No. 1325958, Motor No. P8-136808, to Plymouth Sedan Model 1940, Serial Number
10889546, Motor No. P 10-14282. Commissioner Breon moved that request be granted.
Motion adopted.
H. C. Simpson of the Simpson Chevrolet Company asked for a special permit
to construct a frame office building in the 200 block on North Seventh Street.
On motion the request was denied. Motion adopted.
Commissioner Price moved that Ray j'Jorcester be granted a special permit
for the erection of a building in the 300 block on North seventh Street. Motion
adopted.
On motion of Commissioner Price the Board of Commissioners adjourned.
