Called Meeting of the Board of Commissioners September 24, 1940.
Meeting was called to order by Acting Mayor Ferm, the roll was called and
Commissioners Ferm, Breon and Price -and City Attorney Norris responded. Commis-
sioners Morgensternand Branson absent.
The meeting was called for the purpose of selecting a Draft Board for
the City of Salina, as requested in letter of M. R. McClean, Brigadier General,
to Ed Morgenstern, Mayor of Salina.

The following citizens were selected by the -Board of Commissioners to
be recommended to the Governor of Kansas, for recommendation by him to the
President of the United States, to serve as members of the Local Board Area,
Saline County No. 1 of Salina, Kansass
