COMMISSIONERS PROC=IITGS, REGULAR MEETING.
COMMISSIONERS ROOM,
SALINA, KANSAS.
JULY 152 1940.
Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners July 15, 1940. Meeting was
called to order by Mayor Morgenstern, the roll was called and Commissioners Morgen-
stern, Branson, Ferm and Price and City Attorney Norris responded. Commissioner
Breon absent.
The minutes of the Regular Meeting of July 8, 1940 were read and approved
as read.
Application for taxicab drivers license for the year 1940 received from:
Tom C. Goodman
Commissioner Ferm moved that application be approved and license granted.
Motion adopted.
Application was received for taxicab license as follows:

Commissioner Price moved that application be approved and license granted.
Motion adopted.
Paul Shanahan asked for permission to place a sign on the lot located on
the south-west corner of Ninth Street and Crawford Avenue. Commissioner Ferm
moved that permission be granted. Motion adopted.
An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance making appropriation
for the payment of certain claims."
On motion of Commissioner Branson the ordinance was read and adopted by
sections and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote
was had; Ayes: Morgenstern, Branson, Ferm and Price (4) Nays: (0) Commission-
er Breon absent. Mayor approved the ordinance and it is numbered A-79.
On motion of Commissioner Price the Board of Commissioners adjourned.
