JULY 1, 1940.
Special meeting of the Board of Commissioners July 1, 1940. Meeting was
called to order by Mayor Morgenstern, the roll was called and Commissioners
Morgenstern, Branson, Ferm and Price and City Attorney Norris responded.
Commissioner Breon absent.
The meeting was held for the purpose of acting on appraisers reports for
the curbing and guttering of the following streets:
Brown Street from the west line of Eleventh Street to the east line of
Sherman Streets 1
Frost Street from the west line of Eleventh Street to the east line of
Sherman Street;
Oakdale Avenue from the north line of Ash Street to the south line of
Elm Street;
Tenth Street from the south line of Franklin Street to a point 300 feet
south of south 11ne of Franklin Street; and
Tenth Street from the center line of Pacific Street to center line of
HarshSzreet j
and for the paving of:
Alley lying between Santa Fe Avenue and Fifth Street from the south line
of As S reet to the north line of Iron Avenue,
also for the construction of the following lateral sanitary sewers:
Lateral Sanitary Sewer No. 184 located in Phillips Street and Washington
Avenue;
Lateral Sanitary Sewer No. 185 located in Cedar Street from College Avenue
to Missouri Pacific Rai ro rac s; and
Lateral Sanitary Sewer No. 186 located in Rahm Street from Fourth Street,
east 290 feet.
The appraisers report for the curbing and guttering Brown Street from west
line of Eleventh Street to east line of Sherman Street was taken up and read
as follows:

described and provided for in ordinance Number 4970 of the City of Salina, Kansas,
and that each of us will to the best of our judgment and ability make a true and
impartial appraisement of all the lots and pieces of ground abutting on such street
as above mentioned, without regard to the buildings or improvements thereon, for
the distance improved as set forth and designated by the Board of Commissioners in

interested in any of the property liable to special assessment for the cost of
constructing Lateral Sanitary Sewer Number 184 located in Phillips and Washington
Streets, in the City of Salina, Kansas, as more particularly described and pro-
vided for in Ordinance Number 4968 of the City of Salina, Kansas, and that each
of us will to the best of our judgment and ability make a true and impartial
appraisement of all the lots and pieces of ground abutting on such street as
