4 gular meeting of the Board of Commissioners January 30,
1940. Meeting was called to order by ?��ayor jvlor §

called and Commissiom rs Morgenstern, Branson, reon, Ferm and Price
and City Attorney Norris responded.
The minutes of the Regular Meeting of January 23, 1940 were
read and approved as read.
Application for taxicab drivers license for the year 1940 re-
ceived from:
John C. Peterson.
Commissioner Branson moved that application be approved by the
Board of Commission rs and license granted. Motion adopted.
Application was received from G. E. French, Owner and DeLu.xe
Cab Company, operator, for the transfer of Cab Number 14, from Plymouth
Sedan, Model 1938, Serial No. 10584004, Motor P6-203253, to Plymouth
Sed4n, Model 1940, Serial No. 10931523, Motor No. P 10-901524. Com-
missioner Branson moved that application be granted. Motion adopted.
The following applications for Cereal Malt Beverage License for
the year 1940 were presented:

Commissioner Branson moved that applications be approved and
license granted. Motion adopted.
Application for Pool Hall License for the first half of 1940
received as follows:
George Holzmeister
Commissioner Breon moved that application be approved and li-
cense granted. Motion adopted.
1.1ausoleum Deed for the sale of Crypts No. 249 and 250 in the
Hillcrest Memorial Mausoleum, to W. J. Triplett, was presented to the
Board of Commissioners. On motion, the Mayor was authorized to sign
the deed on behalf of the City of Salina, Kansas. Motion adopted.
City Engineer filed plans and specifications and estimate of
cost for the construction of Storm Sewers Number 25 and 26. On mo-
tion of Commissioner Ferm same were approved by the Board of Commission -
ors and the City Clerk was instructed to advertise for bids for such
work to be received up to and including Monday, February 5, 1940 at
4:30 P. M. �'iotion adopted.
Official Bond for Harold E. Peterson, Leputy City Clerk, was
presented to the Board of Commissiom rs. Commissioner Price moved
that bond be approved by the Board of Commissioners. Motion adopted.
Commissioner Branson moved that the plan for the remodeling of
Crawford Avenue voting building be approved, and that the N. Y. A. be
authorized to do such work, total cost for the City not to exceed
$875.00. Motion adopted.
On motion of Commissioner li'erm the Board of Commissioners ad-
journed to meet Thursday, February 1, 1940 at 11:30 A. M.
