After the adjournment of the joint meet-
ing with the City Commissioners, the Chairman of
the 'dater Board, Roy F. Bailey, called for a short
meeting of the Suter Board members. All members
of the Board were present with the exception of
F. B. Kastner, who was absent.
The Board, on motion of Mr. Stevenson
and seconded by I::r. Gebhart recommended that the
charge now being made to the City for sewer flush-
ing in the sum of $175.00 per month be eliminated.
On motion of Mr. Oebhart and seconded by
r. Stevenson it was recommended that a flow line
from "Fell ¢r7 on Gypsum Avenue to the 7,1aterworks
pumping station be constructed at an estimated
cost of Y16,000 and that another well be installed

Swimming Pool and to be equipped with the neces-
sary well house, pump and motor and power transmis-
sion line at an estimate cost of ;`,7000.00.
The following recommendations were received from the
''daterworks «dvisory Board:
"A joint meeting of the Waterworks
Hdvisory Board and City Commissioners was held in
the Commissioners Room in the City Hall at 7:30 P.Y.
January 2, 1940. P, embers of the 'Naterworks Board:

hers of the City Commission: i,?ayor Ld 1,orgenstern,
Commissioners `% H. Ferm, Earl liranson, B. A. Breon,
Lloyd -erice and City attorney 71. S. Norris.
:Natters pertaininr- to the operating of
the ''dater Department were discussed. In considering
the report submitted some months previous by Paul-
ette " `,Milson Engineers on the estimated cost of
constructing and operating a water softening plant,
it was the opinion of the members of both the "Plater
Board and City Commissioners that the construction
of such a plant probably should be withheld until
such a time as the present indebtedness is retired and
a sufficient surplus was built up to finance the
construction, without the necessity of going in
debt.
After the adjournment of the joint meet-
ing with the City Commissioners, the Chairman of
the 'dater Board, Roy F. Bailey, called for a short
meeting of the Suter Board members. All members
of the Board were present with the exception of
F. B. Kastner, who was absent.
