Regular !�eeting of the B oard of Commissioners November 27,
1939. TJeeting was called to order by Payor Liorgensternm the roll was
called and Commissioners Morgenstern, Branson, Breon, Ferm and trice
and City Attorney Norris responded.
The minutes of the Regular Meeting of November 20, 1939 were
read and approved as read.
Applications for taxicab drivers license for the balance of
1939 received from:
Robert H. Taylor
Harry E. aherffius.
Commissioner Breon moved that applications be granted and
license issued. 1�iotion adopted.
Applications were received from the Yelloway Cab Company asking
for permission to establish a taxi stand at 336 South Santa�Fe Avente
(near the Masonic Temple Building) and 111 South Seventh Street (Globe
Imprint). Commissioner Ferm moved that permission be granted and on
its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had:
Ayes: Breon, Branson, Ferm and Price (4) Nays: i'orgenstern (1).
Sign Application No. 175 received from Rogers Outdoor Advertis-
ing, asking permission to erect a sign on Lot 107, Iron Avenue,
Original Town of Salina, Kansas. Commissioner Form moved that ap-
plication be granted by the Board of Commissioners. Motion adopted.
A communication was received from Theo. P. ''lorsley, in behalf
of the Board of Directors of the Gypsum Hill Cemetery, in reference
to Hillcrest Memorial. Ordered filed.
Communications were received from Salina Typographical Union
No. 63£3 and The Salina Central Labor Union, in reference to printing
of Revised Ordinance Book. On motion of Commissioner Price the
City Attorney was instructed to submit a letter to the above named
organizations regarding this matter. Motion adopted.
Audit Contract for the auditing of the City of Salina records
for the year 1939 was received from PP. J. Kennedy, and on motion

adopted by the Board of Commissioners.
An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance making
appropriation for the payment of certain claims."

On motion of Commissioner Branson the ordinance was read and
adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called and
the following vote was had; Ayes: Morgenstern, Branson, Breon,
Ferm and Price (5) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the ordinance and it
is numbered A-51.
On motion of Commissioner Branson the Board of Commissioners
adjourned.
