NOVEILBER 20, 1939.
Regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners November 20,
1939. 14eeting was called to order by Acting Ylayor Ferm, the roll
was called and Commissioners Ferm, Branson, Breon and Price and City
Attorney Norris responded. Commissioner 1,1orgenstern absent.
The minutes of the Regular Meeting of November 13, 1939 were
read and approved as read.
""Vt. B. TTcL!ickle appeared before the Board of C ommissione rs and
asked permission to park taxicabs on vacant lot on the north-west
corner of Bighth street and Ash Street temporarily.. Commissioner
Branson moved that request be granted. Motion adopted.
Applications for taxicab drivers license for the balance of
1939 received as follows:
A. E. Cooper
Emery F. Klein
John Bulleigh
Commissioner Breon moved that applications be granted and li-
cense issued. Totion adopted.
H. 11. Lamrae appeared before the Board of Commissioners in
behalf of H. W. Steele, asking for a permit to construct a filling
station on the south-east corner of Tenth Street and Broadway Boule-
vard, and submitted plans for the same. Commissioner Breon moved
that plans be approved and permit granted. T+iotion adopted.
An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance making
appropriation for the payment of certain claims."
On motion of Commissioner Breon the ordinance was read and
adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called and
the following vote was had; Ayes: Ferm, Branson, Breon and Price
(4) Nays: O) P,lorgenstern absent. Acting Mayor approved the ordi-
nance and it is numbered A-50.
A communication was received in reference to Electric Light
Franchise petitions presented to the Board of Commissioners September
181 1939. Commissioner Branson moved that same be received and
placed on file. 1viotion adopted.
On motion of Commissioner Price the Board of Commissioners
adjourned.
