Lloyd W. Price newly elected Commissioner, having filed the required bond, same having been approved by the Judge of the Dis- trict Court, the oath of office was administered to him by Chas. E. Banker, City Clerk and Mr. Price assumed his office as City Com- missioner. The roll was called and Commissioners Ferm, Branson, Breon and Price and City Attorney Norris responded. Commissioner Morgenstern absent. Application for taxicab drivers license for the balance of 1939 received from: Ray Asbridge r Commissioner Branson moved that the application be approved and that the license be granted. A petition was presented asking for -the closing of the alley between Eleventh and Twelfth Streets from Morrison Avenue to Washington Avenue. Referred to the City Engineer. A petition was presented asking for the installation of a street light in the center of the block on Eleventh Street between Iron Avenue and Walnut Street. Referred to the City Manager. The Mausoleum Builders Corporation reported the sale of crypt and presented the deed to purchaser to be executed by the City as follows: Crypt No. 339 to H. G. Lewis, purchase price $400.00, with check to City of Salina for X100.00 to be credited as follows: 40.00 or lOf of purchase price on original endowment fund, and oO.00 or 15J of purchase price to be credited on note of Mauso- leum Builders Corporation. Commissioner Breon moved that the deed be approved and that the Acting Mayor be authorized to sign the same and check for $100.00 be accepted and credited as above set forth. Motion adopted, John Heath asked permission to construct a tile building 16 x 32 on Lot 17, Block 2, North Park Addition. Commissioner Branson moved that the permit be granted, with a set -back of 25 feet and that no junk be permitted on the premises.- Motion adopted. On motion of Commissioner Price the Board of Commissioners adjourned.
