04-10222 Theft(Published in the Salina Journal on August �a , 2004) „onw.aezo-ga Ana _ �� ORDINANCE NUMBER 04-10222 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 25, ARTICLE VI, SECTION 25-91 OF THE SALINA CODE PERTAINING TO THEFT AND REPEALING EXISTING SECTION 25-91. BE IT ORDAINED by the Governing Body of Salina, Kansas: Section 1. That Section 25-91 of Chapter 25, Article VI of the Salina Code is hereby amended to read as follows: "Sec. 25-91. Theft. Theft is any of the following acts done with the intent to deprive the owner permanently of the possession, use or benefit of the owner's property: (1) Obtaining or exerting unauthorized control over property; or (2) Obtaining by deception, control over property; or (3) Obtaining by threat, control over property; or (4) Obtaining control over stolen property knowing the property to have been stolen by another. Theft of property of the value of less than one thousand dollars ($1000.00) is a Class A violation." Section 2. That existing Section 25-91 is hereby repealed. Section 3. That this ordinance shall be in full effect from and after its adoption and publication once in the official city newspaper.
