ORDINANCE NUMBER 04-10221
AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE ANNEXATION OF TWO SECTIONS
OF RAILROAD RIGHT-OF-WAY, IN SALINE COUNTY, KANSAS IN CONFORMITY WITH
THE PROVISIONS OF K.S.A. 12-519 TO 12-526, INCLUSIVE.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Governing Body of the City of Salina, Kansas:
Section 1. That the following described tracts of land, to -wit:
A tract of land beginning at the Northeast Corner of Tasker Addition;
- thence South 89 degrees 36 minutes 55 seconds East, a distance of 66.00 feet;
- thence South 00 degrees 14 minutes 06 seconds West, a distance of 1285.70 feet,
along the East right-of-way line of the Existing Union Pacific Railroad;
- thence North 89 degrees 35 minutes 56 seconds West, a distance of 66.00 feet to the
Southeast Corner of Tasker Addition, said line being 50.00 feet North of the South
I/4 corner of, Section 36,Township 14 South, Range 3 West;
- thence along the East line of said Tasker Addition, North 00 degrees 14 minutes 06
seconds East, a distance of 1285.68 feet, back to the point of beginning.
The above described tract of land contains 84,855.18 square feet or 1.94 acres; and
A tract of land beginning at the Northwest Corner of Liberty Addition, said point being
60.00 feet South of the North 1/4 corner of, Section 1, Township 15 South, Range 3
West;
- thence South 00 degrees 09 minutes 46 seconds East, a distance of 575.00 feet, along
the East right-of-way line of the Existing Union Pacific Railroad;
- thence South 00 degrees 09 minutes 46 seconds East, a distance of 2007.59 feet,
along the west line of Liberty Addition No. 2;
- thence South 00 degrees 15 minutes 37 seconds East, a distance of 1200.56 feet;
- thence South 00 degrees 15 minutes 37 seconds East, a distance of 1406.22 feet, and
running along the west line of South Industrial Area #3 and South Industrial Area
42, Saline County, Kansas, to a point 35.00 feet North of the South'/4 Corner of
Section 1, Township 15 South, Range 3 West;
- thence North 90 degrees 00 minutes 00 seconds West, 66.00 feet;
- thence North 00 degrees 15 minutes 37 seconds West, a distance of 1406.22 feet;
- thence North 00 degrees 15 minutes 37 seconds West, a distance of 1200.56 feet;
- thence North 00 degrees 09 minutes 46 seconds West, a distance of 2007.59 feet;
- thence North 00 degrees 09 minutes 46 seconds West, a distance of 575.00 feet;
- thence North 90 degrees 00 minutes 00 seconds East, a distance of 66.00 feet, back
to the point of beginning.
The above described tract of land contains 342,495.96 square feet or 7.86 acres.
meeting the qualifications for annexation prescribed by K.S.A. 12-520 (a)(6), is hereby annexed and
made a part of the City of Salina, Kansas.
Section 2. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption
and publication once in the official city newspaper.
