COMMISSIONERS PROCEEDINGS, REGULAR MEETING
A resolution was introduced for second reading entitled: "A Resolution re-
lating to he curbing, guttering and grading of Funston Avenue from the south line of
Ellsworth Avenue, thence south to the north line of Jewell Avenue."
On motion of Commissioner Simpson the resolution was adopted as read and on
j its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Price,
Breon, Moore, Noyce and Simpson (5) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the resolution and
it is numbered 931.

Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissi4per� 'Ju1,y.8,:::1946 ;:; Meeting was
called to order by Mayor Price, the roll was called and Commissioners Price, Breon,
Moore, Noyce and Simpson and City Attorney Clark responded.
The minutes of the Regular Meeting of July 1, 1946 were read and approved
as read.
Applications for taxicab drivers license for the year 1946 received as fol-

Commissioner Noyce moved that applications be approved and license granted.
Motion adopted.
Commissioner Simpson moved that report of City Planningg Commission for
the rezoning of Lot 3, Block 12, Riverside Park Addition from "A" Residential to
"C" Commercial be adopted by the Board of Commissioners, and that the City Clerk
publish notice in the official City paper of public hearing to e granted to any per-
sons interested in said proposed changes or amendments at 7:30 o'clock P. M. Monday,
August 12, 1946 in the Commissioners' Meeting Room in the City Hall, Salina, Kansas,
at which time written protests as provided by law will be considered by the Board of

Commissioners. Motion adopted.
Application for permit for the drilling of an oil well on Lot 1, Surveyor's
Plat 49, was presented from H. S. Currier and E1 A. Keys. Commissioner Simpson moved
that application be approved by the Board of Commissioners. Motion adopted.
A petition was presented asking for the curbing and guttering of Osborne
from Cloud to Republic; Ellsworth Avenue from Osborne to 260 feet east, and the south
side of Kirwin Avenue from Fourth Street to Osborne, and on both sides of Kirwin to
260 feet east of Osborne. Petition was referred to the City Manager.
A petition was presented asking for the paving and grading of Chicago Street
from State Street to Walnut Street. Petition was referred to the City Manager.
