JANUARY 28, 1946
Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners January 28, 1946. Meeting
was called to order by Acting Mayor Price, the roll was called and Commissioners
Price, Breon and Noyce and City Attorney Clark responded. Commission re Moore
and Simpson absent.
The minutes of the Regular Meeting of January 24, 1946 and Special Meeting
of January 24, 1946 were read and approved as read.

Applications for taxicab drivers license for the year 1946 received as

Commissioner Breon moved that applications be approved and license
granted. Motion adopted.
Application for Cereal Malt Beverage License for the year 1946 received
as follows:

Commissioner Breon moved that application be approved and license granted.
Motion adopted.
Application Number 393 asking for building permit for type of building
to be erected on Lot 1, Block 4, Southern Heights Addition, was presented from
L. J. Ashton. Commissioner Noyce moved that application be approved and permit
granted. Motion adopted.
A petition was presented asking for the curbing, guttering and paving of
Eleventh Street from North Street to Grand Avenue. Petition was referred to the
City Manager.
An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitleds "An ordinance
relating to and apportioning and levying special assessments on certain lots and
pieces of ground in the City of Salina, Kansas, to pay the cost of curbing,
guttering and paving Tenth Street from North Street to Lincoln Avenue, and relat-
ing to and providing for the collection and payment of such assessments."
Ordinance was referred to the Board of Commissioners.

Application for call box for the DeLuxe Cab Company at the corner of _
South Street and College Avenue was received, and referred to the City Manager,
Commissioner Noyce moved that the City Manager be authorized to meet the
Payroll of February 1, 1946. Motion adopted.
On motion of Commissioner Breon the Board of Commissioners adjourned.
