COMMISSIONERS PROCEEDINGS, REGULAR MEETING
COMMISSIONERS ROOM,
SALINA, KANSAS.
NOVEMBER 19, 1945
Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners November 19, 1945. Meeting
was called to order by Mayor Moore, the roll was called and Commissioners Moore,
Breon, Noyce, Price and Simpson and City Attorney Byers responded.
The minutes of the Regular Meeting of November 13, 1945, and Special Meeting
of November 13, 1945 were read and approved as read.
Applications for taxicab drivers license for the balance of 1945 received
as follows:

Commissioner Simpson moved that application be rejected by the Board of Com-
missioners. Motion adopted.

Commissioner Breon moved that applications be approved and license granted.
Motion adopted.
An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance making appropriation
for the payment of certain claims."
On motion of Commissioner Simpson the ordinance was read and adopted by sec-
tions and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had;
Moore, Breon, Noyce, Price and Simpson (5) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the ordinance
and it is numbered A-304.
An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance making appropriation for
the payment of certain claims."
On motion of Commissioner Noyce the ordinance was read and adopted by sec-
tions and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had;
Ayes: Moore, Breon, Noyce, Price and Simpson (5) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the
ordinance and it is numbered A-305.
An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled: "An ordinance rati-
fying and confirming a contract for grading and paving of Tenth Street from north
line of North Street to the north line of Grand Avenue in the City of aline, for
a width of 33, with 6" reinforced concrete, and from north line of Lincoln Avenue
to the south line of Grand Avenue for a width of 31' with 6" reinforced concrete,
and for curbing, guttering and grading of Tenth Street from north line of North
Street to north line of Lincoln Avenue, and providing for the issuance of temporary
notes to pay the costs thereof pending the issuance and sale of bonds." Ordinance
was referred to the Board of Commissioners.
An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled: "An ordinance extend-
ing the fire limits of the City of Salina as defined in Section #1 of Ordinance #3040
and Section #1 of Ordinance #4579, being Sections 11-101 and 11-102, respectively,
Rev. Ordinances of 1939." Ordinance was referred to the Board of Commission -yrs.
Pursuant to notice published in the Salina Journal bid was received for
the construction of Lateral Sanitary Sewer Number 207, in Johnstown Avenue from
I Kansas Avenue to Ohio Avenue as follows:

City Engineer's Preliminary Estimate of Cost was read.
Bid was tabulated by the City Manager.
i Commissioner Price moved that bid be held over until future meeting.

On motion of Commissioner Breon the Board of Commissioners adjourned.
