06-25-1945 Minutes9 COMMISSIONERS PROCEEDINGS, REGULAR MEETING COMMISSIONERS ROOM, SALINA, KANSAS. JUNE 25, 1945 Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners June 25, 1945. Meeting was called to order by Mayor Moore, the roll'was called and Commissioners Moore, Noyce. Price and Simpson and City Attorney Byers responded. Commissioner Breon absent. The minutes of the Regular Meeting of June 18, 1945 were read and approved as read. A resolution was introduced for second reading entitled: "A Resolution relating to the curbing, guttering and grading Arthur Avenue from the north line of North Street to the south line of Lincoln Avenue. On motion of Commissioner Price the resolution was adopted as read and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayess Moore, Noyce, Price and Simpson (4) Nayss (0) Commissioner Breon absent. Mayor approved the resolution and it is numbered 881. The above resolution is recorded in full on Page 267, Resolution Book Number 3. A resolution was introduced for second reading entitled: "A Resolution relating to the curbing, guttering and grading Charles Street from the west line of Phillips Street tot he east line of Montrose enue. On motion of Commissioner Simpson the resolution was adopted as read and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Moore, Noyce, Price and Simpson. Commissioner Price moved that the City Manager be authorized to meet the Payroll of June 30, 1945. Motion adopted. City Clerk was instructed to advertise for bid to be received up to and including, Monday, July 2, 1945 at 7:30 P. M. for the s le of the following City of Salina Improvement Bonds: Sewer Issue ;7780.67, dated April 1, 1945, bearing 1%. interest; Curb and Gutter Issue $5714.98, dated April 1, 1945, bearing 1% interest; Paving Issue $10,010.01, dated April 1, 1945, bearing 1%o interest. An ordinance was introduced for first reading ntitleds "An ordinance liquidating the Office of Civilian Defense and repeal Ordinance No. 5005." Ordinance was referred to the Board of Commissioners. On motion of Commissioner Price the Board of Com#dssioners adjourned. 0)
