Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners May 28, 1945. Meeting was
called to order by Mayor Moore, the roll was called and Commissioners Moore,
Breon, Noyce, Price and Simpson and City Attorney Byers responded.

The minutes of the Regular Meeting of May 21, 1945 were read and approved
Applications for taxicab drivers license for the year 1945 received as
D. R. Jones
Noah L. Rider
Commissioner Simpson moved that application received from D. R. Jones be
approved and license granted; and that application received from Noah L. Rider be
rejected. Motion adopted.
A petition was presented asking for the placing of Lots 1 and 3. Block 8,
Leavenworth Addition, in "D" Light Industrial District. Petition was re-
ferred to the City Planning Commission.
A resolution was introduced for second reading entitled: "A Resolution
relating to the paving of Spruce Street from the east line of College Avenue
to the west line of Phillips treet.'r
On motion of Commissioner Price the resolution was adopted as read and
on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes:
Moore, Breon, Noyce, Price and Simpson (5) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the
resolution and it is numbered 876.
The above resolution is recorded in full on page 259, Resolution Book Num -
ber 3.
An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled: "An ordinance
providing for the paving of Spruce Street from the east line of College Avenue to
the west line of Phillips Avenue in the City of Salina for a width of 27 feet,
with 6 inch concrete; and providing for the cost thereof and how the same shall
be assessed and the manner of payment thereof." Ordinance was referred to
the Board of Commissioners..
A resolution was introduced entitled: "A Resolution relating to form of
Internal Improvement Bonds of the City of Galina, Kansas, to be issued in the sum
of $7780.67 to pay the cost of construction and building or Lateral Sanitary
Sewers Nos. 196, 197 and 199 in the City of Salina, Kansas, as provided by Ordi-
nance Numbeer 5083."
On motion of Commissioner Price the resolution was adopted as read and
on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote washads Ayes:
Moore, Breon, Noyce, Price and Simpson (5) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the
resolution and it is numbered 877.
The above resolution is recorded in full on Pages 260 and 261, Resolution
Book Number 3.
An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance
authorizing and providing for the issuance of Improvement Bonds of the City of
Salina in the sum of $7780.67 to pay the cost of improving certain streets in
said City to be designated as Series S-131."
On motion of Commissioner Simpson the ordinance was read and adopted
by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote
was had; Ayes: Moore, Breon, Noyce, Price and Simpson (5) Nayss (0)
Mayor approved the ordinance and it is numbered 5083.
A resolution was introduced entitled: "A Resolution relating to the form
of certain Internal Improvement Bonds of the City of Salina, Kansas, to be ----
issued in the sum of $5714.98, to pay cost of curbing, guttering and grading of
certain streets as provided for by Ordinance Number 5084."
On motion of Commissioner Breon the resolution was adopted as read and
on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes:
Moore, Breon, Noyce, Price and Simpson (5) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the,
resolution and it is numbered 878.
