COMMISSIONERS PROCEEDINGS, REGULAR MEETING
COMMISSIONERS ROOM,
SALINA KANSAS.
MARCH 26o 1945
i Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners March 26, 1945. Meeting was
called to order by Mayor Morgenstern, the roll was called and Commissioners Morgan-
; stern, Breon, Price and Simpson and City Attorney Byers responded. Commissioner
Moore absent.
The minutes of the Regular Meeting of March 23, 145 and Canvassing Board

On motion of Commissioner Breen applications were approved and license
granted. Motion adopted.
An ordinance was introduced for second reading a titleds "An ordinance
creating and defining certain Lateral Sanitary Sewer Die riot in the City of
Salina designated as Lateral Sanitary Sewer District N er 201 so created,
providing for the cost thereof and for the levying of pecial assessments against
the property in -said district for the payment of such co truction and for the
issuing of bonds therefor."
On motion of Commissioner Price the ordinanoe wsa read and adopted by see -
tions and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had=
Ayess Morgenstern, Breon, Price and Simpson (4) Nayss (0) Commissioner Moore
absent. Mayor approved the ordinance and it is numbered 5077.
A resolution was introduced for second reading an itleds "A Resolution
relating to the ourbing, guttering and grading of Front treat from the north line
of Ash Street to the south line of Elm Street."
On motion of Commissioner Breen the neddbzMenwas read and adopted by see -
tions and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had;
Ayess Morgenstern, Breen, Prins and Simpson (4) Nayss (0) Commissioner Moore
absent. Mayor approved the ned0stlenaad it is numbered X59.

A resolution was introduced for second reading entitled: "A Resolution relat-
ing to the ourbing, guttering and grading Kansas Avenue from a point 500 feet north
of Elm Street, north approxim telt' 475 f to t e gout line of Riverside Boule-
vard."
On motion of Commissioner Breon the resolution was adopted as read and on
its finalsdoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayess Morgan -
stern, Breon, Price and Simpson (4) Nays: (0) Commissioner Moore absent. Mayor
approved the resolution and it is numbered 870.

A report was received from the City Planning Commission recommending proposed
change in Zoning Ordinance, by removing Lots 1, 3 and b on Ninth Street and the East
of Lot 13, on Crawford Avenue, in Seitz Addition to the City of Salina, Kansas,
from "A" Residential District and placing the same in "C" Commercial District.
On motion of Commissioner Price the report was approved by the Board of Com-
missioners, and the City Clerk was instructed to publish notice in the official City
paper, that a public hearing will be granted to any pers ns interested in said pro-
posed changes and amendments, at eight o'clock P. M. , MDnday, April 30th, 1945.
Motion a dopted.
Trust Deed, with a deposit of $100.00 was received from Mrs. Mary R. Jennerson,
for the perpetual care of Lot 20, Block "D", in the Gypsum Hill Cemetery of Salina,
Kansas.
On motion of Commissioner Price, Trust Deed was approved by the Board of Com-
missioners and the City Treasurer was instructed to place the deposit in the Gypsum
Hill Cemetery Lot Owners Endowment Fund a e provided by Ordinance Number 3530 of
the City of Salina, Kansas. Motion adopted.

Commissioner Price moved that the City Manager be authorised to meet
the Payroll of April 1, 1945. Motion adopted.
On motion of Commissioner Simpson the Board of Commissioners adjourned.
