03-05-1945 MinutesCOMMISSIONERS PROCEEDINGS, REGULAR MEETING COMISSIO14ERS ROOM, SALINA, KANSAS. MARCH 5, 1945 Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners March 5, 1945. Meeting was called to order by Mayor Morgenstern, the roll was called and Commissioners Morgenstern, Breon, Price and Simpson and City Attorney Byers responded. Commis - e ioner Moore absent. The minutes of the Regular Meeting of February 26, 1945 were read and approved as read. Application for Cereal Malt Beverage License was received as follows: Gn'ERAL RETAILER CLASS "A" INDIVIDUAL --------------------- Application Number 48 Name of Applicant Betty Gage Nand and Looation of Place of Business Plantation Grill 100 South Olive Commissioner Price moved that application be approved and license granted. Motion adopted. Application for taxicab license for the year 1945 received as follows: Name of Owner Name of Operator Cab Number Paul Tyler Bell Taxi 22 On motion of Commissioner Breon application was approved and license granted. Motion adopted. Combination Plumbers and Gas Fitters Bond was presented from Pearl N. Baohofer, dA/a Bachofer Plumbing Company. On motion of C(x, issioner bond was approved by the Board of Commissioners. A resolution was introduced for second reading entitled: "A Resolution relating to the curbing, guttering and paving of Hancock Street from the north line of Illinois Street tot he north line of Venango Street. On motion of Commissioner Simpson the resolution was adopted as read and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayess Morgenstern, Breon, Price and Simpson (4) Nays: (0) Commissioner Moore absent. Mayor approved the resolution and it is numbered 867. The above resolution is recorded in full on Page 249, Resolution Book Number 3, Commissioner Breon moved, and duly seconded by Commissioner Simpson, that the proposition of Water Softening System, to be installed, be submitted to the voters at the City Election of April 3, 1945. Motion adopted. On motion of Commissioner Price the Board of Commissioners adjourned. City Clerk
