01-29-1945 MinutesCOMMISSION?RS PROCEEDINGS, REGULAR MEETING COMMISSIONERS ROOM, SALINA, KANSAS. JANUARY 29, 1945 Regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners January 29th, 1945. Meeting was called to order by Mayor Morgenstern, the roll was called and Commissioners Morgenstern, Breon, Price and Simpson and City Attorney Byers responded. Com- missioner Moore absent. The minutes of the Regular Meeting of January 22, 1945 wereread and approve Applications for taxicab drivers license for the year 1945 received as fol - Clyde Minard Leonard Mallary Reas a 'Walsh On motion of Commissioner, Price applications were approved and license granted. Motion adopted. Louise Cain On motion of Commissioner Price application was approved and for day driving only. Motion adopted. Harold Wayne Kilgariff Vern K. Partch On motion of Commissioner Breon applications were rejected by the Board of Commissioners. Motion a dopted. The appraisersreport for the paving of Park Street from Missouri Pacific Railroad east to connect with existing brick pavement, was received and on motion of Commissioner Simpson, Monday, February 5th, 1945 at 7:30 P. M. was designated as a Special Meeting at which time the report will be t aken up and acted on by the Board of Commission rs, and that the. City Clerk be instructed to publish notice in the official City paper as provided by law. Motion adopted. On motion of Commissioner Breon the City authorized the construction of a four -inch water main.on Clark Street from Spruce Street to Walnut Street. Motion adopted. Commissioner Price moved that a five days notice be given to Mrs. Elsie Hoffman, d/b/a Elsie's Cafe,at 535 North Santa Fe 'venue, for violating rules and regulations set out in Ordinance Number 4961 of -the City of Salina, Kansas. Hearing to be held at the Commissioners Room in the City Hall, February 5, 1945 at 7:30 P. M. Motion adopted. On motion of Commissioner Price the City Manager was authorized to meet:t he Pay Roll of February 1, 1945. Motionadopted. On motion of Comnissioper Simpson the Board of Commissioners adjourned.
