01-02-1945 Minutes1 1 7 Li 1 195 COMMISSIONERS PROCEEDINGS, REGULAR MEETING COMMISSIONERS ROOM, SALINA, KANSAS. JANUARY 2, 1945 Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners January 2, 1945. Meeting was called to order by Mayor Morgenstern, the roll was called and Commissioners Morgenstern, Moore, Price and Simpson and City Attorney Byers responded. Commis- sioner Breon absent. The minutes of the Regular Meeting of December 26, 1944 were read and approved as read. An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance making appropriation for the payment of certain claims." On motion of Commissioner Price the ordinance was read and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Morgenstern, Moore, Price and Simpson (4) Nays: (0) Commissioner Breon absent. Mayor approved the ordinance and it is numbered A-265. An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance providing for such grading and excavation as may be necessary and paving of Park Street from the Missouri Pacific Railroad tracks east approximately 45 feet to join existing brick paving, with 6 -inch reinforced concrete; and providing for the cost thereof and how the same shall be assessed, and the manner of payment thereof." On motion of Commissioner Moore the ordinance was read and adopted by sections and on its finaladoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Morgenstern, Moore, Price and Simpson (4) Nays: (0) Commissioner Breon absent. Mayor approved the ordinance and it is numbered 5073. A petition was presented asking for the curbing and guttering of the north one-half of the 300 block on North Kansas Avenue. Petition was referred to the City Manager. Commissioner Simpson moved that taxicab drivers license be increased from $1.00 per annum to $10.00 per annum. Motion adopted. An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled: "An ordinance relat- ing to drivers license and application therefor and repealing Section 13, Ordinance No, 4952." Ordinance was referred to the Board of Commissioners. On motion of Commissioner Simpson the Board of Commissioners adjourned. City Clerk
