COMMISSIONERS PROCEEDINGS, REGULAR MEETING
COMMISSIONERS ROOM,
SALINA, KANSAS.
NOVEMBER 27, 1944
Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners November 27, 1944. Meeting was
called to order by Mayor Morgenstern, the roll was called and Commissioners Mor-
genstern, Elliott, Moore and Price and City Attorney Byers responded. Commissioner
Breon absent.
The minutes of the Regular Meeting of November 20, 1944 were read and approved
as read.
A letter was received from the Bell Taxi asking for the revocation of taxicab
drivers license issued to Leo Partch and Vern Partch. The matter was referred to the
City Manager.
A notice was received.f rom the Bell Taxi notifying the City of Salina that
after December 1, 1944, Ray Walsh will not be permitted to operate a taxicab for the
Bell Taxi. Communication ordered filed.
City Engineer submitted Final Acceptance for the paving of Park Street from
the Missouri Pacific Railroad Tracks to the east line of Chicago Street as follows:
To the Hon. Mayor and November 21, 1944
Board of Commissioners,
City of Salina, Kansas.
Gentlemen:
The excavating, grading and paving of Park Street,
from the Missouri Pacific Railroad Tracks to the east
line of Chicago Street constructed by the H.J. Taylor Con-
struction Company, Salina, Kansas, under contract dated
October 16, 1944, Job No. 206, has been completed, and a
final inspection has been made by this office.
I have found that all work has been performed
and completed in compliance with the plans and specifications
of said contract.
Therefore, I recommend that the -work be accepted.

Commissioner Price moved that report be approved by the Board of Commission-
ers. Motion adopted.
City Engineer submitted Final Estimate of Cost for the paving of Park Street
from the Missouri Pacific Railroad Tracks to Chicago Street. On motion of Commis-
sioner Moore same was approved by the Board of Commissioners.
Deed to Henry A. Jones for the South ten feet of Lot 23, Block 1, Riverside
Park Addition, for the consideration of $25.00. On motion, the Mayor was author-
ized to sign deed in behalf of the City of Salina. Motion adopted.
A petition was presented asking for the construction of a sewer on Hancock
Street from Republic Avenue to Venango Street. Referred to the City Manager.
A resolution was introduced for first reading entitleds "A Resolution relat-
ing to the curbing, guttering and grading of Seventh Street from the south line
of Hamilton Avenue to the north line of Otis Avenue."' Referred to the Board of
Commission rs.
On motion, the City Manager was authorized to meet the Payroll of November
30, 1944. Motion adopted.
On motion of Commissioner Moore the Board of Commissioners adjourned.
