Regular Meeting of the Board of Commission:rs November 20, 1944. Meeting
was called to order by Mayor Morgenstern, the roll was called and Commissioners
Morgenstern, Elliott, Moore and Price and City Attorney Byers responded. Commis-

The minutes of the Regular Meeting of November 13, 1944 were read and approved
as read.
A resolution was introduced for second reading entitled: "A Resolution
relating to the paving of Park Street from the Missouri Pacific Railroad tracks,
east approximately 45 feet to join the existing brick paving."
On motion of Commissioner Price the resolution was adopted as read and on
its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayess
Morgenenter, Elliott, Moore and Price (4) Nayss (0) Commissioner Breon absent.
Mayor approved the resolution and it is numbered 864.
The above resolution is recorded in full on Page 246, Resolution Book
Number 3.
An ordinance was introduced entitleds "An ordinance making appropriation
for the payment of certain claims."
On motion of Commissioner Moore the ordinance was read and adopted by
sections and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was
had; Ayes: Morgenstern, Elliott, Moore and Price (4) Nayss (0) Commissioner
Breon absent. Mayor approved the ordinance and it is numbered A-258.

City Engineer submitted final acceptance for the paving of Republic
Avenue from Eleventh Street to Sherman Street and Highland Circle from Republic
Avenue to Beloit Avenue as follows:

To the Honorable Mayor Ae
Board of Commissioners,
City of Salina, Kansas.
Gentlemen:
The excavating, grading and paving of Republic
Avenue and Highland Circle constructed by the H. J. Tay-
lor Construction Company, Salina, Kansas, under contract
dated October 2, 1944 Job No. 205, has been completed and
a final inspection has been made by this office.
I have found that all work has been performed and
completed in compliance with the plans and specifications
of said contract.
Therefore, I recommend that the work be accepted.

Commissioner Moore moved that report be approved by the Board of Commis-
sioners. Motion adopted.
City Engineer submitted Final Estimate of Cost for the paving of Highland
Circle and Republic Avenue. Commissioner Price moved that estimates be approved
by the Board of Commissioners. Motion adopted.
Petitions were received asking for the curbing and guttering of Seventh
Street from Antrim Avenue to Hamilton Avenue; and Seventh Street from Otis Avenue
to Antrim Avenue. Petitions were referred to the City Manager and City Engineer.

MONER
An agreement was presented from the Missouri Pacific Railroad Company relat-
ing to water main constructed under their tracks on Spruce Street. On motion, the
Mayor was authorized to sign agreement on behalf of the City of Salina. Motion
adopted.
On motion of Commissioner Price the Board of Commissioners adjourned.
