11-06-1944 MinutesCOMMISSIONERS PROCEEDINGS, REGULAR MEETING COMMISSIONERS ROOM, SALIVA, KANSAS. NOVEMBER 6, 1944 Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners November 6, 1944. Meeting was called to order by Mayor Morgenstern, the roll was called and Commissioners Morgenstern, Moore and Price and City Attorney Byers responded. Commissioners Breon and Elliott absent. The minutes of the Regular Meeting of October 30, 1944 were read and approved j as read. i A resolution was introduced for second reading entitled: "A Resolution relating to water service lines on Park Street from west line of Missouri Pacific Railroad right-of-way to east side of Chicago Street." On motion of Commissioner Price the resolution was adopted as read and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Morgen- stern, Moore and Price (3) Nays: (0) Commissioners Breon and Elliott absent. Mayor approved the resolution and it is numbered 862. The above resolution is recorded in full on Page 244 Resolution Book Number 3. An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance making an appropriation for the payment of certain claims." Republic Avenue from Eleventh Street to Sherman Street, and Highland Circle from Republic Avenue to Beloit Avenue, 4 were received , and on motion of Commissioner Moore, Monday, November 13, 1944st 7:30 P. M. was designated as a Special Meeting, at which time the reports will be taken up and acted on by the Board of Commissioners, and that the City Clerk be instructed to publish notice in the official City Paper as provided by law. Motion adopted. i On motion of Commissioner Price the Board of Commissioners adjourned. G City Clerk On motion of Commissioner Moore the ordinance was read and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Morgenstern, Moore and Price (3) Nays: (0) Commissioners Breon and Elliott absent. Mayor approved the ordinance and it is numbered A-257. A resolution was introduced for second reading entitled: "A resolution relat- ing to the paving of Sheridan Street from the north line of Republic Avenue to the south line of Wilson Street. On motion of Commissioner Price the resolution was adopted as read and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Morgenstern, Moore and Price (3) Nays: (0) Commissioners Breon and Elliott absent. Mayor approved the resolution and it is numbered 863. The above resolution is recorded in full on Page 245 Resolution Book Number 3. A petition was presented asking for the curbing and guttering of Pranklin Street from Merrill Street to Hancock Street. Petition was referred to the City 0 Manager, A letter was received from Edgar W. Heyl Chief of Police, in reference to 'Wayne �. taxicab drivers license No. 120 issued to Turner. Commissioner Price moved that license be revoked. Motion adopted. The appraisers reports for the paving of: Republic Avenue from Eleventh Street to Sherman Street, and Highland Circle from Republic Avenue to Beloit Avenue, 4 were received , and on motion of Commissioner Moore, Monday, November 13, 1944st 7:30 P.
