Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners October 30, 1944. Meeting was
calbd to order by Mayor Morgenstern, the roll was called and Commissioners Morgenstern,
Breon, Elliott, Moore and Price and City Attorney Byers responded.

The minutes of the Regular Meeting of October 23, 1944 were read and approved
as read.
An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance ratify-
ing and confirming a contract with H. J. Taylor Construction Company for the con-
struction of certain paving and grading improvements on certain streets in the City
of Salina and providing for the issuance of temporary notes to pay the cost thereof
pending the issuance and sale of bonds."
On motion of Commissioner Price the ordinance was read and adopted by sections
and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes:
Morgenstern, Breon, Elliott, Moore and Price (5) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the
ordinance and it is numbered 5070.
An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance ratify-
ing and confirming a contract with H. J. Taylor Construction Company for the con-
struction of certain lateral sanitary sewers in Lateral Sanitary Sewer Districts
Nos. 192, 196 and 197 in the City of Salina, and providing for the issuance of tempo-
rary notes to pay the cost thereof, pending the issuance and sale of bonds."
On motion of Commissioner Price the ordinance was read and adopted by sections
and on its finaledoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes:
Morgenstern, Breon, Elliott, Moore and Price (5) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the
resolution and it is numbered 5071.

of a sanitary sewer in
the alley lying between Second and Third Streets from
Prescott Avenue to Crawford
Avenue. Petition was referred to the City Manager*

A resolution was introduced for first reading entitled: "A Resolution
providing for the paving of Sheridan Street from Republic Avenue to Wilson Street.
Resolution was referred to the Board of Commissioners.
A resolution was introduced for first reading entitled; "A resolution
relating to water service connections on Park Street from Missouri Pacific Railroad
tracks to Chicago Street." Resolution was referred to the Board of Commissioners.
On motion of Commissioner Elliott the City Manager was authorized to meet
the Payroll of October 31, 1944. Motion adopted.
On motion of Commissioner Elliott the Board of Commissioners adjourned.
