SEPTEMBER 11, 1944 On motion of Commissioner Breon the City Manager was authorized to meet the payroll of September 15th, 1944. Motion adopted. On motion of Commissioner Breon the Board of Commissioners adjourned. 1 1 1.6_E_ j Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners September 11, 1944. Meeting was called to order by Mayor Morgenstern, the roll was called and Commissioners Morgan - stern, Breon, Moore and Price responded. Commissioner Elliott and City Attorney j Byers absent. j The minutes of the Regular Meeting of September 4, 1944 and Adjourned Meeting of September 5, 1944 were read and approved as read. A petition was presented asking for the closing of a driveway running east and west between Eighth Street and Ninth Street and located between Lots 88 and 86 on Eighth Street, Original Town of Salina. Approved by Commissioner Breon. A petition was presented asking for the curbing and guttering of Eighth Street from Hamilton to Antrim. Petition was referred to the City Manager. City Engineer submitted plans and specifications and estimate of cost for the paving of Highland Circle from Republic Avenue to Beloit Avenue and Republi8 Avenue from Eleventh Street to Sherman Street. On motion of Commissioner Price the above mentioned plans and specifications and estimate of cost were approved b the Board of Commission ers and the Ci Clerk Y , City was instructed to advertise for bids for such improvements, bids to be received up I to and including Monday, October 2, 1944 at 7s30 P. M. Motion adopted. Electrician's Bond was presented from Alex Meier d%b/a Meier Electric Company, and on motion of Commissioner Breon bond was approved by the Board of Commissioners. An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitleds "An ordinance providing for the repaving of alb from Ash Street to Elm Street between Seventh Street and Santa Fe Avenue for a width of 10' with either 6" reinforced concrete or 8" plain concrete; and the paving of Park Street from the Missouri Pacific railroad tracks to the east line of Chicago Street; and providing for the cost thereof and how the same shall be assessed and the manner of payment thereof." On motion of Commissioner Breon the ordinance was read and adopted by seotions j and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was hada Ayess Morgenstern, Breon, Moore and Price (4) Nays: (0) Commissioner Elliott absent. Mayor approved the ordinance and it is numbered 5065. On motion of Commissioner Breon the City Manager was authorized to meet the payroll of September 15th, 1944. Motion adopted.
