Special meeting of the Board of Comm:�ssioners July 10th, 1944. Meeting was
called to order by Mayor Morgenstern, the roll was called and Commissioners
Morgenstern, Breon and Price responded. Commissioners Elliott and Moore absent.
City Attorney Byers present.
Special Meeting was held for the purpose of acting on the appraisers reports
for the curbing and guttering of:
Claflin Avenue from the west line of Ninth Street, west approximately 1016
feet to the west line of Lot 13, Block 1, Evergreen Park Addition;
Merrill Street from the south line of Wilson Street to the north line of
Republic Avenue;
Pershing Street from the south line of Jewell Avenue to the north line of
Kirwin Avenue;
Republic Avenue (north side) from the west line of 1heridan Street to the
east line of Hancock Street;
Spruce Street from the east line of College Avenue to the west -line of
Phillips Street; and
Spruce Street from the arrest line of College Avenue to the east line of
the right-of-way of the MT.ssouri Pacific Railroad Company.
The appraisers report for the curbing and guttering of Claflin Avenue from
the west line of Ninth Street to the west line of Lot 13, BloW _1,'Evergreen Park
Addition was taken up and read as follows:

severally sworn according to law, each for himself, does hereby solemnly swear
that he is disinterested in any of the property liable to special assessment
for the cost of curbing and guttering Claflin Avenue from the west line of Ninth
Street, west approximately 1016 feet to the west line of Lot 13, mock 1, Ever-
green Park Addition in the City of Salina, Kansas, as more partl6ularly described
and provided for in Ordinance Number 5051 of the City of Salina, Kansas, and that
each of us will to the best of our judgment and ability make a true and impartial
appraisement of all the lots and pieces of ground on such street as above mentioned,
without regard to the buildings or improvements thereon, for the distance improved
as set forth and designated by the Board of Commissioners in the ordinance above

We, J. Earl Wyatt, John Frederick and inn. F. Grosser Jr., being duly and severally
sworn according to law, each for himself, does hereby solemnly swear that he is dis-
interested in any of the property liable to special assessment fer the cost of curbing
and guttering Spruce Street from the west line of College Avenue to the east line of
the Missouri Pacific Railroad right-of-way in the City of Salina, Kansas, as more
particularly described and provided nor in Ordinance yumber 5051 of the City of Salina
Kansas, and that each of us will to the best of our judgment and ability make a true
and impartial appraisement of all the lots and pieces of ground as above ment'_oned,
without regard to the buildings or impcoveirnents thereon, for the distance improved as
set forth and designated by the Board of Commissioners in the ordinance above mentioned.
