05-01-1944 Minutes1 1 11 1 101 COMMISSIONERS PROCEEDINGS, REGULAR MEETING COMMISSIONERS ROOM, SALINA, KANSAS MAY 1, 1944 Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners I'. 1944. Meeting was called to order by Mayor Morgenstern, the roll was called and Commissioners Morgen- stern, Elliott, Moore and Price and City Attorney Byers responded. Commissioner Breon absent. The minutes of the Regular Meeting of April 24, 1944 were read and approved as read. Applications for taxicab drivers license for the year 1944 received as follows s Llo d E. Blackford T. Kilgariff Commissioner Price moved that applications be approved and license granted. Motion adopted. Application for Cereal Malt Beverage License for the year 1944 received as follows: Name and Location of Place Application Number Name of Applicant of Business 51 Kenneth Crow Tip Top Inn 316 E. Pacific Commissioner Elliott moved that application be rejected by the Board of Commissioners. Motion adopted. An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance making appropriation for the payment of certain claims." On motion of Commissioner Price the ordinance was read and adopted by seo- tions and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayess Morgenstern, Elliott, Moore end Price (4) Nays: (0) Commissioner Breon absent. Mayor approved the ordinance and it is numbered A-237. Application for Building Permit was received from M. A. Hensley, for a permit to add to rear of present building located on the South 48 feet of Lot 43, Block 1, Pleasant View Addition to the City of Salina, Kansas. Said building to front on 1508 South Ninth Street. Commissioner Moore moved that permit be granted. Motion adopted. Trust Deeds for the perpetual oars of the following lots in the Gypsum Hill Cemetery received as follows: From George I. Redding and Dorothy A. Redding, with a deposit of $75.00 for the perpetual care of the South 1/2 of Lot 25, Block 25; and From G. M. Craig, Administrator of Jose h Crowther. Estate, with a deposit of $75.00 for the perpetual care of the North 17 of Lot 83, Block "A". On motion of Commissioner Price, Trust Deeds were approved by the Board of Commissioners, and the City Treasurer be instructed to place the deposits in the Gypsum Hill Cemetery Lot Owners Endowment Fund as provided by Ordinance Number 3530 of the City of Salina, Kansas. Motion adopted. On motion of Commissioner Price the Board of Commissioners adjourned. City Clerk
