Special Meeting of the Board of Commissioners April 11, 1944. Meeting was
called to order by Mayor Morgenstern, the roll was called and Commissioners Morgen-
stern '
orgen-stern, Elliott, Moore and Price and City Attorney Clark responded. Commissioner
! Breon absent.
Meeting was held for the purpose of acting on the appraisers reports for the
curbing and guttering of:
College Avenue from the south line of Morrison Avenue Avenue to the north
line of Prescott venue;
Montrose Avenue from the south line of Morrison Avenue to the north line of
Prescott Avenue; and
Tenth Street from the south line of Wilson Street to the north line of
Republic Avenue;
and for the construction of Lateral Sanitary Sewer Number 191. located in Lots
two to five, Surveyor's Plat 12, City of Salina, Kansas.
The appraisers report for the curbing and guttering of College Avenue from
the south line of Morrison Avenue to the north line of Prescott venue was taken up
and read as follows:

We, John Frederick, J. Earl Wyatt and Wm. F. grosser, Jr., being duly and
severally sworn according to law, each for himself does hereby solemnly swear that
! he is disinterested in any of the property liable to special assessment for the cost
of curbing and guttering College Avenue from the south line of Morrison Avenue to
the north line of Prescott Avenue in the City of Salina, Kansas, as more particularly
described and provided for in Ordinance Number 5036 of the City of Salina, Kansas,
and that each of us will to the best of our judgment and ability make a true and
impartial appraisement of all the lots and pieces of ground on such street as above
mentioned without regard to the buildings or improvements thereon, for the distance
improved as set forth and designated by the Board of Commissioners in the ordinance
above mentioned. So help us God.
