04-11-1944 MinutesCOMMISSIONERS PROCEEDINGS, REGULAR MEETING COMMISSIONERS ROOM, SALINA, KANSAS. APRIL 11, 1944 Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners April 11, 1944. Meeting was called to order by Mayor Morgenstern, the roll was called and Commissioners Mor- genstern, Elliott, Moore and Price and City Attorney Clark responded. Commissioner Breon absent. read. The minutes of the Regular Meeting of April 3, 1944 were read and approved as W• Applications for taxicab drivers license for the year 1944 received as follows: Russell Dodd Joseph L. Ray Eddie 'N. Snell Commissioner Price moved that applications be approved by the Board of Com- missioners and license granted. Motion adopted. A resolution was introduced for second reading entitled: "A Resolution relating to the curbing, guttering and grading of Spruce Street from the east line of College Avenue to the west line of Phillips Street. On motion of Commissioner Price the resolution was adopted as read and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Morgenstern, Elliott, Moore and Price (4) Nays: (0) Commissioner Breon absent. Mayor approved the resolution and it is numbered 843. The above resolution is recorded in full on Page 222, Resolution Book Number 3. An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitleds "An ordinance provid- ing for the amendment of Ordinance No. 3188, and adding a certain area to the "C" Commercial District as defined in Section 5 of said Ordinance, and excluding said area from the "A" Residence District as defined in Section 3 of said Ordinance." Ordinance was referred to the Board of Commissioners. On motion of Commissioner Elliott the City Manager was authorized to meet the Payroll of April 15th, 1944. Motion adopted. City Manager reported to the Board of Commissioners that on April 1st, 1944 he appointed Carl C. MacFarlane as City Engineer of the City of Salina, Kansas. On motion appointment was confirmed by the Board of Commissioners. City Engineer's Bond given by Carl C. MacFarlane was presented to the Board of Commissioners, and on motion approved by the Board of Commissioners. On motion of Commissioner Price the Board of Commissioners adjourned. City Clerk
