Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners March 20, 1944. Meeting was
called to order by Mayor Morgenstern, the roll was called and Commissioners Mor-
genstern, Breen, Elliott and Price and City Attorney Clark responded. Commission-
er Moore absent.

The minutes of the Regular Meeting of March 13, 1944 were read and approved
as read.

Application for taxicab drivers license for the year 1944 received as fol -

Commissioner Breen moved that application be approved and license graded. j
Motion adopted.
Letters were received from Edgar W. Heyl, Chief of Police, relating to
taxicab drivers license No. 34 issued to Warren David Taylor and No. 24 issued to
Gearld Bussart.
Commissioner Price moved that Taxicab Drivers License No. 34 issued to
Warren David Taylor be revoked. Motion adopted.
Commissioner Breon moved that Taxicab Drivers License No. 24 issued to

Gearld Bussart be revoked. Motion adopted.
An ordinance was introduced entitleds "An ordinance making appropriation
for the payment of certain claims."
On motion of Commissioner Price the ordinance was read and adopted by see -
tions and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had;
Ayes: Morgenstern, Breon, Elliott and Price (4) Nayss (0) Commissioner Moore
absent. Mayor approved the ordinance and it is numbered A-232,

A contract was presented from the United States of America, relating to Police
Protection and Fire Protection and Sewage Disposal Services for War Trailer Project

and war Housing Project, which projects are located outside the corporate limits
of the City, (Identification Nos. KANS-14123 and KANS-14051).
On motion of Commissioner Elliott the Mayor was authorized to sign the
above mentioned contract on behalf of the City of Salina. Motion adopted.
On motion of Commissioner Price the Board of Commissioners adjourned.
