FEBRUARY 288 1944
Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners February 28, 1944. Meeting was
called to order by Acting Mayor Price, the roll was called and Commissioners Price,
Breon and Elliott and City Attorney Clark responded. Commissioners Morgenstern and
Moore absent.
The minutes of the Regular Meeting of February 21, 1944 were read and ap-
proved as read.
Application for taxicab drivers license for the year 1944 received as
follows:

Coamiissioner Breon moved that application be approved by the Board of Com-
missioners and license granted. Motion adopted.
1 A letter was received from Edgar W. Heyl, Chief of Police, relating to taxi- j
cab drivers license Number 58, issued to Gerald Alton Henry. Commissioner Breon
moved that license be revoked. Motion adopted.

A resolution was introduced for second reading entitleds "A Resolution
relating to the curbing, guttering and grading of Merrill Street from the south line
of Wilson Street to the north line of Republic Avenue.
On motion of Commissioner Breon the resolution was adopted as read and on
its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes:
Price, Breon and Elliott (3) Nays: (0)- Commissioners Morgenstern and Moore absent.
Acting Mayor approved the resolution and it is numbered 839.

The above resolution is recorded in full on Page 218, Resolution Book Number
3.
A resolution was introduced for first reading entitled: "A Resolution re- j
lating to the curbing, guttering and grading of Claflin Avenue from the west line of
Ninth Street, west approximately 1018 feet to the west line of Lot 13, Block 1,
Evergreen Park Addition." Resolution was referred to the Board of Commission-
ers.
A resolution was introduced for first reading entitled: "A Resolution re-
lating to the curbing, guttering and grading of Spruce Street from the west line of
College Avenue, west to the east line of the Missouri Pacific Railroad right-of-way."
Resolution was referred to the Board of Commissioners.

On motion of Commissioner Breon the City Manager was authorized to meet the
regular Payroll of February 29th, 1944. Motion adopted.
